While many generations of Rydal Penrhos pupils pass through the School before embarking on their adult lives, the bricks and mortar of our School and the beautiful North Wales landscape remain in place, serving as a reminder of our history, values, and ambitions.The memories that many of you will have of the School will be tied to places as much as people; our buildings tell stories about our people, and change meanings with their continued use. Our School comes to life when used to the fullest; for this reason, we want to share our facilities with members of our Rydal Penrhos family and the local community. By inviting people in when our pupils are away, we strengthen the School's connection to the outside world while generating an income to reinvest into our pupils and estate.Facilities hire at Rydal PenrhosOur facility and events hire provision is designed to be area and industry leading, providing the best local opportunities for events, sports, clubs and business hire. We welcome community groups and teams, local theatre and drama groups, local schools and of course those looking to create a perfect wedding or party.Since we are lucky enough to be able to accommodate guests in our beautiful former boarding houses, our buildings, grounds and sporting facilities are available to hire for both residential and non-residential events during the evening, at weekends and during school holidays. Our chefs and kitchen team from Holroyd Howe are on-site throughout the year.National and international sporting teams use our facilities as training camps and our pitches for fixtures. We are delighted to host local clubs and teams who train with us every week as well as Welsh Youth Rugby, Cricket, Netball and Hockey squads who hold residential training camps with us. Since many members of these clubs are local residents, and even Rydal Penrhos pupils, we are very happy to be able to support their training. Our sporting facilities are available for evening and weekend hire and during all school holidays.Weddings, parties, and corporate eventsOur picturesque buildings and grounds offer the perfect location for weddings and events. We can accommodate up to 250 guests inside or larger events outside in marquees. Our flagship locations include:

The Osborn Hall – our former dining hall and Learning Resource Centre, recently refurbished to restore its original glory. The Osborn Hall’s vaulted ceiling, stained glass windows and parquet flooring offer a palpable sense of history. The Hall opens onto the Quad and gardens, a perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks.

The Memorial Hall – so many memories have been made already under its beautiful painted ceiling; this important School location is the perfect venue for any kind of event.

The Haley Pavilion – a less formal, more intimate setting juxtaposed with our historic New Field.

St John's Church may also be used for weddings, family ceremonies, and memorial services. Our School Chaplain, the Reverend Dr Rob Beamish, would be happy to discuss any service.Our team of dedicated event planners are available to help plan and support your perfect day or evening. Our relationships with handpicked local wedding and event suppliers mean that we have all the resources necessary to create the wedding or event of your dreams.Our Commercial Manager, Maria McLean, looks forward to putting the school more firmly on the map as a leading venue and community asset that serves the interests of all.______A forthcoming event which we are excited to be hosting is the wonderful 40 Year Reunion of the Penrhos College Class of 1982 in the Summer of 2022. Organised by 1982 pupil Carrie Godber-Smith, this promises to be a weekend to remember. Although discussions are in their preliminary stages, there is currently talk of:

Dormitory-style accommodation.

Drinks and food in the Pavilion or the beautiful refurbished Osborn Hall.

An exhibition of memorabilia and photographs from their time in school.
