• And can you help us? We are wondering what this is? It is on an old photograph of Penrhos Trophies and we think it was approximately 1911 but….
• We also have these little plaques which we know belong to the wonderful Penrhos College stained glass windows we have here in Rydal Penrhos but does anyone know which plaque belongs with which window?
• Ms Rosalind Powell (PC 1992 - 1999) would like to get in touch with her old English teacher Ms Annie Bourke from Penrhos College. She was there in the 90s and Rosalind says she was such a good teacher she would like to reconnect with her.
• Bryan E Jones (RS 1959-65) now of Chester is trying to trace an old neighbour from many years ago where it now appears there was perhaps a family connection. He knows Ian Hodgkinson (RS 1940s-50s) was at Rydal in the very late 40’s may be very early 50’s and he married a Penrhos girl who he can only remember was called Barbara. They had children called Clifford and Sian. And they lived mainly in the Wirral. Ian may have either been a chef or owned a restaurant.
• Timothy Mark Lapper (RS 1962 -67) is trying to find out more about a concert he was a part of in his school days. He tells us “I have my old vinyl copies of the concert (that I tried to ruin from the back row of the basses) which a friend is converting onto CD.... I can't remember too much now except that we performed with the Wirral Girls School and that it was around 1966 give or take a year! I was wondering if you have any more information about this performance such as the date, soloist’s names … I wonder if Brian Kay (RS 1953-63) or any of the other Kings college Cambridge choral scholars were performing for instance? Anything you can find will be of great interest to me.
