Connecting with alumni in new ways
Instagram is a fantastic platform for visual storytelling, and since December 2021, it's also proved a lovely way for the Rydal Penrhos Society to connect with some of our younger alumni.
The feed shares stories from the life and history of the School, from black-and-white photos of the construction of the Memorial Hall to an extract from an 1883 report on Penrhos.
Sometimes, however, simpler is better – the feed's most popular post so far has been a simple view of Queens Gardens (formerly Bottom Field) and the Chapel on a bright winter's day at the end of term.
Other popular posts include an infographic showing the distribution of Rydal Penrhos alumni across the world and an explanation of the fascinating crests to be found in one of the windows of the now Osborn Hall.
Simple things: the feed's most popular post
We're delighted that sixty-one alumni already follow the feed and we look forward to expanding our reach to more alumni in the future!
