Year 7 and 8 Spooktacular
A frighteningly good social event
Rydal Penrhos Year 7 and 8 pupils kicked off Halloween festivities in a Spooktacular fashion on the eerily fitting Friday 13 October.
Just one week before the half-term break, the Year 7 and 8 pupils transformed the friendly and welcoming Ashcroft Room into a sinister dungeon, adorning it with a plethora of black and orange Halloween decorations.
The variety of costumes on display was nothing short of impressive, with pupils drawing inspiration from a wide range of sources, from the iconic Wednesday Addams to beloved video game heroes, Mario and Luigi.
Amid the eerie ambiance, attendees enjoyed a delectable array of food, including delicious pizzas and tempting sweet treats. The highlight of the evening, however, was the suspenseful donut bobbing competition, which provided plenty of fun and laughter.
Notably, the event wouldn't have been such a spooky success without the invaluable assistance of Sixth Form pupils, including many Prefects. Their contribution ensured that the younger pupils had a frighteningly good time. Even the school's staff and teachers embraced the Halloween spirit, showcasing their creativity with some truly outstanding costumes.
The Halloween Spooktacular celebration was a memorable night of fun, food, and frights, providing a fitting social event to draw the half-term to a close alongside the successful Year 9 and 10 Movie Nights on Tuesday and Wednesday.
We wish everyone a spook-tacular half-term!
