Newly-announced concert in support of The Donald Hughes Trust
Rydal Penrhos is delighted to announce an evening of concert performance from our Community Wind Band and Community Choir, taking place in the Memorial Hall on Wednesday 8 March.
Music is an essential part of Rydal Penrhos life, be that in the talent and skill of our current performers, or the tradition of music and song that dates back to the very earliest days of our school and the nation that we inhabit.
Throughout the history of the school, friends, parents and pupils of the school have joined together in sharing a love of artistic performance. The Community Wind Band and Community Choir are the latest iterations of this tradition and have received rave reviews from our community.
Whether it was as part of December's Carol Service in support of the RNLI, or in the Four Choirs Concert twelve months ago, our various musical groups have delighted members of the Rydal Penrhos community and public alike.
Music is just one of the many ways in which Rydal Penrhos connects closely to its local community. In light of this, it is fitting that the upcoming concert will be in support of The Donald Hughes Trust. The trust supports the school's Fully Funded Places initiative, which provides free places to bright, financially-eligible children from the local community.
Being a registered charity, Rydal Penrhos seeks to advance the public good at all times. Fully Funded Places are key to this goal, which is why we deeply appreciate the the generous support of parents, alumni and friends of the school.
As such, if you would like to enjoy what will no doubt be a superb evening of music, and in doing so support the prospects of local children and young people, then please do book your tickets and join us on Wednesday 8 March!
