Years 7-9 perform festive-themed shows!
Christmas is always a busy and exciting time of year at Rydal Penrhos. Pupils are gearing up for their well-deserved break, with mock examinations conducted and numerous events and occasions also scheduled to ensure the entire school is full of festive spirit before the holidays.
This has been evident across the last few days with plenty more to come. One of the most eagerly-anticipated occasions comes within the Performing Arts and features Years 7-9 performing various sketches and songs in front of fellow pupils and family members in the Donald Hughes Memorial Hall.
All year groups worked hard throughout the rehearsal process with Miss Fiona Earle and Mr Pete Williams, who've put on numerous shows together during their time with Rydal Penrhos' outstanding staff team.
Year 7 dressed in their finest festive attire during "A Child's Christmas in Wales", which went down extremely well with those in attendance. This was swiftly followed on Monday 5 December by the Year 8 pantomime - a laughter-filled showcase of acting prowess within the group.
Rounding off the events were Year 9, who performed "Sights and Sounds of Christmas" for parents and Year 7, who lent their support to what turned out to be another fabulous morning.
There was everything from an alien visit, festive rapping, an angel's bump down to earth and even a scene from the iconic Charles Dickens tale, A Christmas Carol.
We would like to congratulate Miss Earle, Mr Williams and every pupil from Years 7-9 on their exceptional efforts throughout their performances.
